The ordinary man is aggressive.
The ordinary woman is manipulative.
When from fool’s compassion
We outlaw aggression
We leave the ordinary man
With little motivation.

Unless he take up the art
Of lawyer and politician
Whereby he will do well
In court and corporation.

So working-class man
Loses to salaryman.
Is this a repeat of old Athens?
Where Diogenes mocked,
Daylight lamp in hand,
“Here I am,
Looking for an honest man.”

If only men were
All hard hustle
And no aggression
And women were
Simply soft heart
Without manipulation.

Many will rage and cry
But can we create solutions?
Knowing that
the deceived and the trapped
Will eventually vie
For the others dissolution.

The Buddha taught the Middle Way
Between men and women,
The spiral dance between compliments
For the sake of evolution.

From the waltz of husband and wife
Learn the art of meditation,
Internalising the art of life
In balance and integration.

Let there be happiness and peace
Between men and women,
That we may create families again
And revive civilisation.
